As the name suggests, this is a truly "wonderful" plant.
The body is rather inconspicuous, brown-green and elongated, only 2 cm in diameter.
But the bloom, which appears several times a year, sometimes several at once, draws all attention to this plant.
The long-tubular flower opens in the evening and shines all night. So that the insects can find the flower in the dark, it smells very strongly of vanilla.
The next morning the flower closes again forever.
This cactus is also known as the "princess of the night".
