As the name implies, this is a truly "wonderful" plant.
The body is rather inconspicuous, brown-green and oblong, only 2 cm in diameter.
But the flower, which appears several times a year, sometimes several at the same time, draws the entire attention to this plant.
The long-eared flower opens in the evening and shines all night. In order for the insects to find the flower even in the dark, it smells strongly of vanilla.
The next morning the flower closes again forever.
This cactus is also known as the "Princess of the Night".
