The homeland of Rebutia is in South America. Rebutia perplexa comes from the Tarija department in Bolivia.
The plant grows in groups, the individual shoots are only approx. 2 cm thick and 2 cm high.
The lilac-pink flowers of this plant reach a diameter of up to 3.5 cm.
