The home of Rebutia is in South America: Bolivia and Argentina.
This Rebutia was found in 1993 by Hansjörg Jucker in Bolivia, west of Tarvita, Chuquisaca department at an altitude of 2800m.
The body of the plant is fresh green and has only a few short spines per areole.
The flower is orange-red and has a diameter of approx. 35mm.
