This cactus comes from Bolivia - South America and occurs in the province of Turija at altitudes from 2500 to 3000 meters.
It was first described by Walter Rausch in 1970. In the meantime, various variations have been found, which differ in the field number.
This variety brings red to red-orange flowers with a diameter of 4 cm.
