In the literature or on the Internet Matucana intertexta and Matucana huagalensis are found as separate species.
This plant is originally from seeds of the company Köhres, which I sowed in 1988.
The name was then Submatucana intertexta var. huagalensis
From the body shape, the plant rather corresponds to Matucana huagalensis, but the flower looks similar to that of Matucana intertexta:
Approximately 6 cm in diameter, 8 cm long, slightly crooked, inside orange, reddish outwards, leaf tips lined in purple.
No matter how the plant is called after all: it is a very beautiful cactus!
