This plant is native to the Mexican states of Chihuahua and Sonora.Due to the striking spines with the bright, brown-tipped edge spines and the dark, up to 1cm long, hooked middle spine, it is a beautiful plant even without flowering.The relatively large, pink flowers with a diameter of 3.5 cm decorate the plant.
