The genus Gymnocalycium is native to South America.
You can find them in Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina, as well as in the south of Brazil.
Like most Gymnocalycia, G. bruchii also has white flowers, up to 4 cm in diameter, which appear several times a year.
