Ferocactus glaucescens occurs in the Mexican states of Guanajuato, Hidalgo, Queretaro and San Luis Potosi.
The blue-green cactus has a diameter of up to 50 cm, the yellow flowers have a length of up to 4.5 cm and a diameter of 2.5 to 3.5 cm.
