Chamaecereus silvestrii has a large number of hybrids.
At first, this plant looks exactly like the red flowering type.
However, the flowers are bright red with a purple edge, orange towards the center and reach a diameter of 4.5 cm.
As new buds keep appearing, the flowering phase takes some time.
