Lithops - Living stones
These plants, known to us under the name "living stones", come from South Africa.
There only the upper leaf surface of the plant head looks out of the earth.
This leaf surface consists of transparent and opaque parts that form bizzare patterns.
The sunlight penetrates the plant through the transparent areas.
In autumn, the yellow or white flowers appear from the crack in the heads.

The plants are currently in the regeneration phase, i.e. the leaves from the previous year are drying out, the gap between the leaves is opening and a new pair of leaves is appearing.
I will only offer plants again when the old leaves have completely dried out.
