Lithops

Lithops
Lithops are better known to many as "living stones". Thus, the shape of these plants is aptly described. The head of the plants is provided with a very variable pattern. Through the head, light penetrates into the plant interior, where it ensures photosynthesis. The head is divided by a gap in 2 so-called praise. Each year, the Lithops form a new praise couple. The old praises surround the new ones and serve as moisturizers during the dry season. After that they wither.
After the rainy season (here from September to November) white or yellow flowers appear from the gap.
In winter, Lithops also need a rest period and must be kept frost-free.
